The development, video editing and gaming rig is located at the floor of the study. Triple boots Ubuntu 9.10 amd64, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The Velociraptors are configured as a 600GB RAID10 volume. All operating systems are installed in this volume. I wrote a posting about installation as it’s not a very straightforward operation to install these operating systems on a single shared disk. The future plan is to buy a 3rd generation Intel SSD as system disk when those become available and dedicate the Velociraptor RAID volume as home video storage.
